1. It is recommended to have the surface to be painted with chrome properly prepared. That means that a dark undercoat and a covering of high gloss and hardness should have been applied in a first step. Important: the surface must be dry and completely hardened, clean and with the best possible brightness. The brighter it is, the better gets the chrome effect.
2. Apply the chrome effect paint Metalchrome on the bright surface without having sanded the base. Apply thin layers (an almost entire mirror effect should be seen). Let it air-dry for 24 hours or in the (industrial) oven at 60° C for 2hrs.
3. After cleaning the chromed surface with a cotton cloth, apply directly a first, thin layer of the special chrome topcoat CR2 (a 20% catalysed). Let it dry for 10-15 min. Apply another final coat. After 24 hrs still manipulable, after 72 hrs completely dry and hardened. The drying process can be accelerated by putting it in the (industrial) oven at 40-60° C for 2 hrs.
